![]() ![]() I was thinking of start dumping the EPROMs on this board to find which game dwells on it, but I wonder if such a shock might have put the board beyond repair. The 74LS367 and 74LS08 did not appear visually damaged at all, and there are no shorted pins (checked with a multimeter). The 12v was sent in two places: first one connected to a 220ohm resistor, which in turn connected to pin 6 (output) of a 74LS08, the second one connected to 5 different resistors (ranging from 100ohm to 2.2k ohm) connected to pin 7, 5, 3, 9, 13 (outputs) of a 74LS367.Also, no smoke (Was there during the accident :P) The board was powered on for ~10 seconds at most: nothing on screen (no idea about the audio, as the speaker was missing from the cab). The test JAMMA harness did not have -5v wired, luckly (I acquired the cab too, so I checked). This board is from an unknown game, and I think the guy that sold it killed it by connecting it to a JAMMA harness, as the board does not appear to be JAMMA compliant (even if the edge connector is 28 pin, I found out that -5v and 12v lines are either missing or in a different position and there are other lines in their place, GND and 5v are wired the same way as JAMMA). While the boards were sold as broken, some of them are fine. I've recently recovered a bunch of board from a closing up arcade shop. ![]()
